About the founder
Building a little more joy, one careful step at a time.
Hooves of Hope was founded by Amy Cannon around a simple, hopeful idea: people who cannot easily get out to see horses deserve the chance to feel the warmth and wonder of a miniature horse nearby.
Little horses. Big heart.
A mission in the making, grounded in joy, connection, and care.
The heart of it
The horses are part of the dream. The people are the reason.
Amy is building Hooves of Hope to bring miniature-horse joy to older adults, people living with disabilities, and others who may not be able to make the trip to see horses themselves.
This is not a horse-ownership story yet. It is the beginning of a responsibly built mission: learning, planning, creating useful goods, and gathering a community before the right miniature horses are ever welcomed into the work.
The journey begins here
Built with heart. Planned with care.
- 01
Learn with care
We are listening to miniature-horse professionals and learning what a thoughtful, animal-first program requires.
- 02
Build the foundation
Printables, community support, and meaningful partnerships help create a sustainable beginning before any horses arrive.
- 03
Prepare responsibly
The right animals, training, veterinary care, transportation, insurance, and welcoming partners must come before future visits are considered.

Amy's story, in her own words.
This space is intentionally reserved for Amy to share the personal moments, hopes, and experiences she chooses to add when she's ready. Until then, Hooves of Hope leads with the mission and the work ahead.
A responsible beginning
Hope is strongest when it is built to last.
We will keep sharing this journey honestly: what we are learning, what we are building, and what still needs to be in place before miniature horses become part of Hooves of Hope.
